Update on IDA Reform
[12/13/2007] - READ WHAT'S NEW WITH IDA REFORM!!
On June 18, the Assembly passed A.8703 (IDA reform), however, the Senate failed to act. For the past three years, IDA reform has been a legislative priority for labor organization in Western NY and the Rochester area.

Spota Bill Heading to Governor
[7/26/2007] - Last week, the Senate unanimously passed the Spota bill by a vote of 60-0. In June, the Assembly passed the same bill by a vote of 139-2. We encourage you to contact Governor Spitzer's office to encourage him to sign the legislation into law once it reaches his desk. more

Immigration Bill Defeated
[6/28/2007] - By a vote of 46-53, the US Senate failed to achieve cloture on S.1639, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill. Immediately following the vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) removed the bill from further consideration. more
