Remembering 9/11

On September 11, 2001, New York City changed as we know it.  The Terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Towers not only took the lives of Rescue Personnel and Financiers, but also members of the New York State Building & Construction Trades Council.  The New York State Building & Construction Trades Council member locals lost 62 members on that fateful Tuesday.

In the days and months following 9/11 it was the members of the New York State Building & Construction Trades Council who were called upon by the city to work in both the rescue and recovery operations that followed.  As we continue to mourn our fallen brothers and sisters it's important to remember their sacrifice.  We must never forget them and our role in building the Freedom Tower will be a enormously important project for us.

As the Freedom Tower project progresses, you can visit this page for news, notes, and photos as we restore the lower Manhattan skyline with site of Freedom to all who visit New York State and New York City!
